December Box of BlessingsThis review post is coming out late, but that doesn’t take from the awesomeness that was in this box!  To show how much I appreciate those who subscribe to Box of Blessings, I wanted this box to represent 4 artisan groups in 4 countries.  That way I could showcase more fun winter & Christmas items all in one box!  For those of you who are new to International Blessings, Box of Blessings is a monthly subscription box that has 3x the blessings.

Box of Blessings

Haitian Steel OrnamentThese steel ornaments are made in Haiti out of old steel drums. With so many designs to choose from, I had to use more than just one, so each box could of had any one of these.  These lightweight, unique ornaments are also available in our online store, so if you need a gift that has purpose or just want to add to your own Christmas tree, check them out!

The next ornament comes from Peru. It is a gourd that has been dyed and carved into festive designs. This ornament supports 66 artisans in & around Lima, Peru to help reduce & overcome poverty. They come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, and designs!!

As you can see, I included mostly ornaments for the December Box of Blessings, but typically the boxes are filled with jewelry So, I had to squeeze in some seasonal earrings as well!  Just like real snowflakes, you won’t find a matching pair of these earrings. Handmade out of 100% recycled aluminum soda cans, they are crafted by a group of 80 women that live in a marginalized community outside of Guatemala City.  The women are empowered through education and other services.

Olive Wood Nativity OrnamentThe last item in this month’s box was an Olive Wood Nativity Ornament carved by artisans in the West Bank & Bethlehem.

The December Box of Blessings donated 10% to Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a ministry organized by Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes are filled with school supplies, hygiene items, toys, candy, etc and are sent to millions of impoverished children around the world. Many of these children have never received a gift before. (Can you imagine if your child had never received a gift?)
