Many of you are probably wondering what daily life looks like for us, World Racers, here in the Philippines. My team is located on the Midanao Island near Malaybalay City. Here is a list of things we expect or will experience on a daily basis.
Beautiful scenery all around us Rice at every meal Lots of BBQ on a stick Cold showers Rain, commonly in the afternoon Daily planning of activities Awesome room service Tons of food Coke Very generous & hospitable people Community life Change of plans No Internet at camp Laughter Team prayer & feedback Humidity, though not as bad as in Manila! Video Karaoke No flushing toilet paper Being recognized as the minority 9pm bedtimes by choice Humongous frogs Geckos in buildings Blistered & sore hands, mostly from concrete Wandering chickens & a goat Dogs everywhere Laundry hanging over our “dinner table” Dirty feet Few, if any, traffic laws
