Lucia’s Imports was established in 2005 with the purpose of partnering with Guatemalan families, artisan groups, and cooperatives. They work toward maintaining a wholesale market for the accessories and handicrafts that are produced by their partners. Operating according to the Fair Trade Federation Principles, Lucia’s Imports also desires to share the beauty of Guatemala’s art and culture.
Their products focus on tradition and eco-friendly fashion. The artisans use recycled Mayan textiles for their purses, coin bags, and other accessories. The hand-beaded jewelry is produced by artisan groups located on Lake Atitlan. Lucia’s Imports ensures that their artisans earn a living wage, have safe & healthy working conditions, and use environmentally sustainable practices.
