Croatia, a hidden paradise, has provided us with more glimpses of God’s beauty.  We have the Adriatic Sea, only a 20 minute walk away, a ridge of mountains bordering the metropolis, and a beautiful city.

We have been helping out at a café serving coffee and building relationships.  During the day, students will come in and out, maybe chat with us a few minutes, but mostly come for drinks or cookies and to study.  Although today is the last day of class, so we expect the café to slow down.  In the evenings, we are usually joined by a few new friends that hang out with us until closing time.   Also, we have Saturday Night Lights, which is another opportunity to get to know the students and hang out.  SNL has included open mic night, movie night, and we are trying to set up Karaoke.  The café is hosting an English camp next week for students wanting to practice their conversational English.

It has been so awesome to hear testimonies of how people are being changed for Christ.  Especially in a culture, that avoids change in tradition or way of life.  The missionaries say that this is a challenging ministry location.  Although it is pretty easy to make friends and build relationships, it has been a slow process in seeing the fruit of sharing Christ.  But these missionaries are steadfast and filled with God’s grace and mercy to see His kingdom in Croatia.  Here is a link to read more about the team we are working with.
